Well, that would have been nice to know, FOUR WEEKS AGO. LOL

It's not like I would play the game on the PS3 if I had the PS4 version but you're essentially getting a full game for free if you buy the PS3 version first. Too bad it doesn't work the other way around...or does it?

On another note if you pre-ordered a digital copy it should be downloading to your PS4 today.

I had a couple Destiny related files automatically download last night. They were too small to be the full game though. And now I have a Destiny countdown clock on my XMB menu.

Same for me. Got me all excited when I saw the icon on my screen.

I canceled my preorder with Amazon yesterday.  It looks like they were going to screw me with free shipping and wait to ship the game for a week after release.  I'm on a trip all of this coming week and won't be able to play it anyway, so I'm better off picking it up at Best Buy next weekend.

Did you guys go with the expansion pack version, or stick to the regular?

Activision DLC is freaking expensive. I'm feeling this won't be a battlefield fisaco all over, but it also looks like their "premium" will not include everything as is?

What is the advantage of digital over physical for this game? Anything, or just the convenience of not having to get up and change a disc?

Finally, if I cancel my Amazon pre-order and order it on the PSN right now, will I have missed out on any goodies from waiting this long?

Cancelled Amazon pre-order and got the Digital Guardian Edition. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to join the clan. I believe I'm part of the group, but I don't see any options that would allow me to join a clan.

Ok, I think Eclipz needs to set up the clan? I went to the gaf clan and there's tabs at the top for Group / Group Wall / Playstation Clan / Xbox Clan

We only have the group and group wall it looks like. This is under creation when creating a group:

Alright, the PlayStation Clan is set. Looks life everyone will have to log into Bungie again and set their PlayStation clan.



But if you do that right now you will get an error message.



Looks like you'll actually need to play the game first before you can join. Maybe they'll have some type of in-game clan join option.

I was talking to R2-JD this weekend and he mentioned that for some of the digital day one games can be played as early as 12:00 AM EDT, so if you're central or pacific you might be able to play earlier than midnight your local time.

When I checked the countdown on my PS4 last night, it was telling me 3AM ET (midnight PT).

I read on GAF that every console except the XBox One is timezone locked. That sounds weird to me, but they were saying the PS3, PS4, and XBox 360 would have to wait until midnight PST. Regardless, I'll certainly be giving it a shot.

Also, don't forget to download the Android or iOS companion app. It sounds as if it actually has real functionality.

The beta was the most fun I've had on a PS4. They would have to royally screw the pooch to make sweet love this up.

Agreed. I'm optimistic, but these big releases haven't been living up to reasonable expectations lately. Add to that the fact that some media outlets hinted that Bungie has been backpedaling on the size of the game and it leaves me a bit worried.

Regardless, I've paid my $90 and am ready to rock!
