| Thinking about getting this game. Am I going to give up as quickly as I did with Dark Souls? If not, I'm probably gonna get it. | |

| it's much more immersive than dark souls and 69,000 times less frustrating.
give it 6-10 hours to get a good feel for it and most likely it'll get you hooked.
you don't need a backstory or anything, everything is very well explained as you proceed.

| Jump while you can, because that knee will have an arrow in it in no time. | |

| Started out with the Nord race...seemed to be a pretty balanced character, plus it sounds like later on it doesn't matter what your race is as you develop skills based on what you use the most.
Very cool game already. I spent about 3 hours with it last night. Escaped from the opening village, made my way to Riverwood. Along the way I ran into a campsite full of bandits and saved some dude getting attacked by wolves. Also cleaned out a mine with a bunch of goodies inside it. Would've been nice to have a pickaxe though. Once I got to Riverwood I accepted a mission from a hottie to retrieve a stolen golden claw...climbed up the mountain and into the temple with a big frooty booty spider. The dude hanging in the spider webs had the claw. I freed him and he tried to run, prompting me to run a giant sword balls deep in his frooty booty. After celebrating my victory I walked into the next room with some zombie like dudes and then was crushed by some boobie trap or something. I was like, WTF dude, and at that moment I had to give up the TV back to the wifey.
I like it so far. The landscape of the land is huge. My only gripe so far is the long load times and buggy/jittery movement and camera occasionally.

| ahh yes...retrieving the golden claw. That was about 141 hours of game play ago. I ended up marrying the daughter of the dude I retrieved it for. She still thanks me every time I go home for getting it back. I guess she doesnt realize that I soon after stole it from the store and sold it to some merchant cheap. | |

| I've held off on killing and stealing from innocent people so far. I doubt it'll last much longer. | |

| If you rob them, do they not attack you? Are there consequences for being good/bad? | |

| if they catch you they attack you... as your sneak and pickpocket skills go up, it gets much, much easier to steal. | |
