or, who cares...

i dropped 200+ hours into the game. i'm satisfied with the experience i had with it. i don't need any dlc to make it better because it was already damn good.

Yeah!!! Who needs more add on stuff for a great game!! I mean look at the fiasco that was the DLC for Borderlands. It sucked!

Spoiler:

Skyrim Dawnguard DLC may never come to PS3

Bethesda addresses absence of add-on for Sony console, says "issues" are potentially unsolvable.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Dawnguard digital expansion may never come to the PlayStation 3. Writing on the official Bethesda forums, a company representative explained that it has attempted to solve unspecified issues, but to no avail.

"Skyrim is a massive and dynamic game that requires a lot of resources, and things get much more complex when you're talking about sizable content like Dawnguard," the Bethesda representative explained. "We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone. Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content" (emphasis added).

Dawnguard is the first expansion for Skyrim. It launched in June for the Xbox 360 and arrived on PC earlier this month. Earlier this week, Bethesda said it was "disappointed" that the content had not yet arrived for the PS3.

Not surprising. Bethesda sucks at optimizing game engines. Skyrim was the 4th game to still have major issues because they refused to fix how they go about doing certain things.

Nah.

Kojima and Naughty Dog don't have issues. RDR ran fine.

yep. ^^

bethesda is in microsoft's back pocket. with MS buying timed exclusive content and giving them truckloads of money to do so, why not under achieve for sony? the whole "ps3 is too hard to make games for" excuse expired after year one and even that was heavily propagated by valve who, ironically, is in bed with sony now.

It really only comes down to world persistence too. I've read similar bugs on the 360.

When the game actively loads into memory the first NCP you killed 35 hours ago, where he is, and everything on his person.... well... thats stupid design for consoles with limited RAM. If you're a wasteland explorer, that's going to cause issues real quick.

How was the audio on RDR? As I remember it, about as good as COD, BF3 and the sixty two other games that never quite seem to work at 100%. Which, on Xbox, from the games I've played so far, do! People have just learned to accept less than 100%. I think the only game that worked 100% was KZ2 on the PS3.

Audio? Never had issues. You mean voice chat?

I haven't had one PS3 game outside of Uncharted or Killzone that has had audio that works. I blame Sony's network and API for chat.

Really hope they fix it by next gen. AND add XBM, cross game chat.

BF3's audio seems to work fine now. Just buy every game 6-9 months after release and you'll never have an audio issue.
